![]() It also states that this default theme is not compatible with lightweight themes, and you should revert to Australis in order to use them not promising for full-fledged themes. It's pretty stable, but not as stable as the regular release. Why do you want to use such a random build that will be a old vulnerable version at that especially if before Fx 46.0. Developer Edition is a specially skinned beta version, so right now, it's the future Firefox 98. Developers Edition refers to a channel and not to a version or codename. It confirms that the default theme for this edition is not Australis, but you can revert to it from the customization page. No Firefox is not doomed as a small minority have said that every so often for the past fifteen years and yet to happen. Last week there was a tracking bug for this that, as I remember, says that the Aurora channel was being reused for this edition (that bug is now protected -Access denied- so I no longer follow it) which is in line with the last statement, as well as the version number for the builds in the link provided by Aris (35.0a2).Īlso, googling Firefox Developer Edition gave me first not the link provided by Patrick, but one below it which at the moment is not directly accessible from that page: Reverting. "Firefox Developer Edition replaces the old Aurora channel." - now I'm very confused. don't bother trying to build a Theme for it, because the UI is going to change with every single release.Īlso "Firefox10" is an incredibly confusing marketing strategy. If it happens again today, I'm going to reinstall x86.Patrickjdempsey wrote:A word to the wise: if it's being developed by the Dev Tools team. On many of the sites I visit suddenly I'm getting a bunch of script errors on the pages I visit (major news sites, etc.) that often crash the browser! I didn't see this much if at all in FF x86-now it is almost predictable despite the build getting updated daily. Even if you uninstall Ff x86, your profile is still there.but, you could still run them separately and use the sync-profiles feature-though I haven't tried that.Īfter a few days of using the 圆4 DE, though, I'm much less rosy about it. But, unless you want to redo everything relative to your x86 profile, like passwords and bookmarks (which I didn't want to do), it's better to simply share the profile of the x86 version, which you can do by simply *un*-checking the default setting in FF-64 DE. Firefox Developer Edition automatically sends feedback to Mozilla. By default, as you say, the browsers use separate profiles, so you can install them together. Get the latest features, fast performance, and the development tools you need to build for the open web. Choose default profile for x86 firefox when opening up the x86 release version and developer default profile for the developer 64 bit version when opening up the developer version.Yep, you're right.and actually I got it backwards. Re: Solved firefox-developer-edition blocks certain webseites Please retest nss 3.47.1-3, which contains the (hopefully) final revision of the bugfix, a much simpler patch. ![]() The bookmark backups are listed but i get. I thought it might be after last update, but that was a week ago (I think) and I didnt have this issue until after the weekend (computer on but not used, system did not restart). ![]() Its pretty stable, but not as stable as the regular release. Just download the 64 bit developer version. This morning after no noticeable change to my computer, the bookmarks are missing from Firefox. Developer Edition is a specially skinned beta version, so right now, its the future Firefox 98. Waltc, No need to uninstall the firefox x86 release version.
